Afraid that I would have issues running again, I only attempted 3 miles today around the neighborhood. I had to try hard to run slow and in good form (not lean forward too much) and was able to get it done with little pain in my lower legs. The good news is that I didn't have any deep shooting pains up my legs and the pain didn't get worse as I ran. Did I mention that as I type this I have ice packs strapped to my legs? Some ibuprofen would probably help heal whatever is going on down there.
I found this while researching shin splints/stress fractures this morning. Please note that the video link is not for the faint of heart. At this point the plan is to try 12 tomorrow and stop as soon as I feel anything wrong and call for a ride back to my car. I wouldn't want to have to crawl back on my hands and knees!
